        In the past, I worked for a company that required me to do a lot of China business travel. I would go over to China every month or so to work out details on a big construction job my company was doing with a firm in Beijing. Ever since I was a young boy, I had dreamed about going across the Pacific, and engaging in China business travel, so it was literally a dream come true for me. For my job, I had to learn to speak basic Chinese.
        My company paid for me to go to classes and learn to speak the Chinese language, and I have to say it was a completely unique experience. I had trouble with it at first, but when I supplemented my classes with online help, I was able to conquer my challenge. It took me about six months to learn a decent amount of the language, and I learned even more when I went on my China business travel trips. I made a lot of close friends over in China, and I still keep in touch with them.
