While the 2008 Olympics were extraordinary, and the media depicted Beijing China travel in the best possible light, I just don't think I could go there with all that air pollution. The Chinese government shut down factories and greatly curtailed automobile emissions, but even so, the air looked really awful there. I have friends who have spent summers in China, and when you get away from the big cities, the air is clean as can be. If I do travel to China, I will use a China travel package that takes me into the mountains, away from the polluted cities. There is no doubt in my mind that there are places in China that are incredibly interesting and beautiful. Since China is a rising world economic power, getting more China travel information will help make my mind up about when to go and where to go in that incredible country. Their technology has obviously come a long ways, and it is worth seeing first hand.
