My sister and her husband recently returned from a wonderful tour to China--it was essential that they had a China tour travel agent. China is not the same as North America--customs are very different, and lifestyle is different as well. They did not visit Japan on this last trip, so they did not need the  services of China Japan travel tours. One thing that was very perplexing to them was the currency exchange system in China, but their China tour travel agent was able to make sense of it all for them. While in China, they did most of the tourist-type things most people do. They sampled the local cuisine in various restaurants, and they toured the Great Wall of China as well. They brought back lots of beautiful digital photos, and they met some wonderful people. However, China is not North America, and they did suffer some culture shock for about the first three days. So, it was great they had the services of a knowledgeable China tour travel agent. They wouldn't recommend you go without a knowledgeable guide.
